Opening of the U.S North East Coast Offshore Wind Potential

News

A recent statement from the Governor of the State of New York, Andrew M. Cuomo, reaffirmed the state’s ambitious goal of supplying 50 percent of its electricity from renewable energies by 2030 [1].  In this case referring to the state’s first offshore wind energy project “DeepWaterOne South Fork “  he encouraged the board of trustees of the Long Island Power Authority to advance the development of the project.

At Windcrete we concur with the governor’s statement “Investing in New York’s clean energy economy strengthens our communities by providing access to clean, affordable power and good quality green jobs.” And think the potential job creation, local benefits and sustainability of the offshore wind solutions can be even higher if our technology is adopted for future projects.
